There's a kind of parallel to Winnicott's true self and false self, where I slot these thoughts in. It gives some insight into the dynamics of an underachiever, fear of letting others down. The article also normalizes it in first time situations, like if a teacher stands up in front of a class for the first time, and feels like an imposter.
